Charles D. Greene, 83, of Columbus, GA passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Kindred Hospice of Columbus.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Griffith officiating. The family will receive friends at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until service time.

Charles was born July 31, 1934 in Columbus, GA to the late Prince Davis Greene and Mary Hunt Greene.  He retired from Lummus Industries after 40 years of service and was a longtime member of Trinity Assembly of God.  Other than his parents he is preceded in death by six siblings.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Macie Greene; two sons, David Greene and Keith Greene and wife, Patti; siblings, Betty Medlock and Richard Greene and wife, Valerie; one grandson, Jacob Greene; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and many caring friends.

The family thanks Kindred Hospice for their care of Mr. Greene and his family.
