Charles Edward Greene, 85, of Smith Station died Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.
Graveside service with Military Honors will be at 2:30, Monday, September 25, 2017 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.
Mr. Greene was born September 10, 1932 in Athens, AL to the late Homer and Esther Greene. He proudly served in the US Army.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ava Greene; son, Anthony “Tony” Greene and wife Sherry; sisters, Marie Nave and Betty Jean Carr; brother, Milton Greene and wife Modene; 3 grandchildren, Ken Charmaine and Sierra; 3 great-grandchildren, Alexis, TerryAnn and Kala; several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
