Charlie Ray Babb, 73, of Columbus, GA passed away Sunday, February 05, 2017 at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, GA. A funeral service will be held at Living Grace United Methodist Church, 3969 Edgewood Cir, Columbus, GA on Friday, February 10, 2017 beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST with Pastor Roy White officiating. The interment will be held at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery on Monday, February 13, 2017 with full military honors. The family will receive friends on Friday, one hour prior to the service at the church beginning at 10:00 A.M. EST.
Mr. Babb was born December 28, 1943 in Dalton, GA to the late Alfred C. Babb and Clara Lingerfield Babb Dinsmore. He was a member of Living Grace United Methodist in Columbus. Mr. Babb was a United States Veteran. He served twenty-two years in the United States Army. He also retired with over twenty years as a driver for Groome Transportation.
Other than his parents, Mr. Babb is predeceased by two sisters and three brothers .
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-one years, Rosalba Cauletti Babb; two daughters, Melanie Halimah (Mohamad) of Memphis, TN and Geraldine Babb of Columbus, GA; three brothers: Rodney Babb of Dalton, GA, Pete Babb of Huntsville, AL, and Dwight Babb (Linda) of Stone Mountain, GA; and seven grandchildren.
