Charlotte Cate Burdeshaw, 83, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at Magnolia Manor in Columbus, GA.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm EST, Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Crawford Road Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Minton and Rev. Tommy Poole officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Burdeshaw was born on August 31, 1936, in Pahokee, FL, daughter of the late Pren Methan Cate and Virginia Nelon Chamberlin. She worked for most of her career in the office supply industry at Baker Office Supply in Phenix City and Ponders in Thomasville, AL. Additionally, she was a minister’s wife and helped serve many churches. Mrs. Burdeshaw taught pre-school at multiple churches for over 50 years. She was a member of North Phenix Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Ronnie.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Rev. Wayne Burdeshaw; two sons, Dan Burdeshaw of Grand Ridge, FL and John Burdeshaw of Phenix City, AL; two sisters, Katey Stomski and husband John and Chee Chee Wilson and husband Jon, all of West Palm Beach, FL; one brother, Bobby Chamberlin of San Diego, CA; three grandchildren, Lance Burdeshaw, Tiffany Blighton and Katie Burdeshaw; seven great-grandchildren; several extended family and caring friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital or your church in memory of Mrs. Burdeshaw.
