Charlotte Lynn “Gi Gi” Valentine Dempsey

Charlotte Lynn “Gi Gi” Valentine Dempsey, 45, of Smiths Station, AL passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at her home in Smiths Station. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm EST Friday, January 23, 2015 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Larry Beardsley officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home. Lynn was born February 7, 1969 in Atlanta, GA to Robert F. Valentine, Jr. and Charlotte Irene Williams Valentine. She was a member of Apostolic Lighthouse Church and enjoyed participating in all church functions and activities. She taught home school for her grandchildren and had a great passion of love and devotion for all her grandchildren. Lynn loved scrapbooking, dressing up and going places, was active in fundraisers of many sorts, had a classy personality, and was known as a go getter. Other than her parents, she is survived by two sons, Joshua Dempsey and wife Adrienne of Phenix City, AL, and Johnathon Dempsey and wife Zully of Smiths Station, AL, sister, Robyn Faglier and husband Tommy of Jacksonville, FL, brothers, Robert F. Valentine, III of North Carolina, and William Valentine and wife Bettina of Diboll, TX; (5) grandchildren, Matthew, Abigail, Josiah, Elizabeth, and Elijah, her maternal grandmother, Lillie Williams, a host of extended loving family members and a multitude of caring friends
