Christine Ann Colquitt Johnston

Christine Colquitt Johnston, 94, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, at her home.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Alabama with Dr. Kevin Calhoun officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Columbus.

Christine was born on January 23, 1928, in Columbus, Georgia. She is the daughter of Henry Colquitt and Grace M. Currington Colquitt. She worked as a CNA Nurse for various sitting companies after many years of working at a meat packaging company. Christine was passionate about helping others. She was a member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church where she spent much time and dedication serving the Lord. Christine enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were always certain to put a smile on her face. She spent her spare time in real estate, watching Braves baseball, and sewing.

Other than her parents, Christine is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Johnston, Sr.; five sisters and three brothers.

Christine is survived by her son, John (Kittie) Johnston Jr.; daughter, Carol Wall; sister, Nell Falbo; two grandsons, Richie (Brittany) Wall and John Wall; granddaughter, Amber (Matthew) Martin; six great-grandsons, Ian Wall, Ryker Wall, Wesley Wall, Tyler Martin, Huddy Martin, and Bo Martin; great-granddaughter, Zoey Wall; as well as several extended family and caring friends.
