Christine Kindred

Christine Huguley Kindred, 82, of Phenix City, AL, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Parkwood Health Care in Phenix City.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EST, on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City Chapel with Reverend F.L. “Bubba” Copeland officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends Saturday, 10:00 until 11:00, one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Christine was born on January 18, 1937, in Phenix City, AL to Bennie T. Huguley and Arlene Kent Huguley. She retired from BCBS after 42 years of service and enjoyed cooking and caring for her family.

Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Huguley.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Neal Kindred; daughter, Alison Gentry, husband Neal of Phenix City, AL; son, Bryan Kindred, wife Claire of Tuscaloosa, AL; 3 grandchildren, Jimmy Gentry, David Kindred (wife Liz) and Anne Elise Summers (husband Ethan); great grandchild, Olivia Kindred; extended family and many caring friends.
