Christine Rushing

Christine Price Rushing, 81, of Salem, AL joined her husband in Heaven on Sunday, May 03, 2020 while at her residence with her family near her.

Funeral services will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with interment to follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.

Mrs. Rushing was born September 30, 1938 in Troy, AL daughter of the late James Steven Price and Dora Belle Skinner Price. She was a homemaker and as such provided for her family by sewing, cooking and gardening. Ms. Christine loved to fish, sing in the church choir at Kirkland Memorial Baptist and talk for hours on the phone with family. She found great joy around the holidays, especially Easter and Christmas, as this was a special time with family.  Her family was her pride and joy and she would make sure you knew it whenever she talked to you. She has left us so many great and wonderful memories to cherish and share with future generations. We will miss her but never forget her.

Ms. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and the love of her life for 66 years, Bob Rushing.

Survivors include her three children, Debra Rushing Ming (Kenneth), Steve Rushing (Barbara) and Robert “Bob” Rushing; five grandchildren, Jimmy Medley, Jr., Ashley Clark, Daniel Rushing (Holly), Madison and Austin Ming; great-grandchildren, Caiden and Camden Davis, Hunter Rushing and two more to join the family later this year; numerous nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
