Claudia Lou Jones

Claudia Lou Jones, 69, of Columbus, GA, passed away March 13, 2014, at Midtown Medical Center, Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 20, 2014 beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4400 Reese Rd. Columbus, GA. Bishop Aaron Starbuck will be officiating. Interment will conclude at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 19, 2014, from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. EST at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. 31907.

Claudia Lou Jones was born December 13, 1944 in Mesa, AZ. Daughter of the late Waldo E. Williams and Idell Ferrin Williams. Claudia was a life- long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Other than her parents, Claudia is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Alvin Thomas Lee “Buck” Jones, whom she shared 48 years of joyous marriage. She is also preceded by daughter Susan D. Jones Adams; sisters, Barbara Sue Williams, and Carrie Jean Crum.

Survivors include, four daughters; Cynthia I. Trujillo (Juventino), of Colorado Springs CO, Laura L. Rakow (Walter) of Sparta, WI, Jennefier A. Patterson (Matthew), of Lithia, FL, and Amanda L Brown (Edward) of Abilene KS; One son, William “Andy” Jones (Sarah), of Sandy UT; sisters, Geraldine Wiggins (Kenneth), and Della Beth Wallace (Randy); brother, Floyd Williams(Christine); brother in law, Harold Jones (Lora); One son in law, Donald Adams, Jr; Nineteen grandchildren and one great grandson; and a host of beloved relatives and caring friends.
