Clora Garland Snell Stephens, 82 of Columbus, GA, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015, at her home surrounded by loving family in Columbus, GA

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm EDT, on Monday, April 20, 2015, at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Pastor Terry Robbins officiating. A private interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stephens was born on June 29, 1932, in Enterprise, AL, the daughter of Willie James Snell and Jessie Morris Snell. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, plastic canvas needle work, and baking. She was a Christian by faith. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 A½ years, John William Stephens, daughter, Belinda Holmes Stephens, grandchild, Lilly Kay Hardy, 1 sister, and 4 brothers.

She is survived by two daughters, Kristi Stephens (Mark Baer), and Lynn Stephens, both of Columbus, GA; one son, Wayne Stephens, wife Wanda of Columbus, GA; sister in-law, Mary Helen Snell; (4) grandchildren, Michael Stephens (Rachell), Bubba Holmes, John Holmes, and Kimberly Holmes; (9) great grandchildren; close friends, LaDonna Nash, Shirley Henry, Carolyn Chambers, and Guy, numerous other loving family members and many caring friends.
