Clorinda Carpenter Mcconnell

Clorinda Carpenter McConnell, 68, of Phenix City, Alabama, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama while surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM EST on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Tommy Fountain and Rev. Stephen Fountain officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Clorinda was born in Shirley, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late James Herbert Carpenter and Theresa Paul Carpenter. Her family later settled in Phenix City, AL where she spent the remainder of her life. Growing up, Clorinda attended The Salvation Army Church, which she considered a very important part of her childhood. Later, she began attending Landmark Church of the Nazarene and remained a faithful member. Clorinda loved her family and was not only a mother, but a sister, aunt and a true friend to all those that knew her. Above all, she adored and loved her grandchildren, always supporting them at their sporting events and school activities.

In addition to her parents, Clorinda was preceded in death by one brother Jimmy Carpenter; one sister Donna Stringfellow and niece Sherri Stringfellow.

Left to cherish Clorinda’s memory is one daughter Jenna Hall (Jeffery) of Smiths Station, AL; two sons Chris McConnell and Josh McConnell (Jamie) of Smiths Station, AL; two sisters Terri Chapman and Glenda Sanders both of Phenix City, AL; one brother Bill Carpenter (Judy) of Phenix City, AL; five grandchildren Aidan Davis, Ragan McConnell, Cason McConnell, Tinsley Hall and Harper Hall; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and extended family.
