Clyde "Dan" Daniel Hudson

Clyde Daniel “Dan” Hudson, 63, of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2016 in the comfort of his home while surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm EDT Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Emory Evans officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at the funeral home.

Dan was born May 18, 1952 in Phenix City, AL to the late William Lafayette Hudson and Carolyn Viola Baker Hudson.  He had served as a Minister of the Gospel in South Alabama for many years and was a member of Faith Temple Assembly of God Church in Phenix City.  He was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide, enjoyed fishing, full of humor and laughter, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.  Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Jeremy Hudson, and two brothers, Larry Hudson and David Hudson.

He is survived his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Linda Sharon Miller Hudson, two daughters, Tina Hudson Herndon and husband Jason, and Jennifer Hudson Dueitt and husband Todd, three sisters, Jean Page, Judy Faircloth and husband James, and Janice Gilboy; one brother,  Billy “Edward” Hudson and wife Sonja, mother-in-law, Doris Stewart,  everyone of Phenix City, AL, three grandchildren, Gracie Dueitt, Danny Dueitt, and Joey Dueitt, and a host of nieces and nephews, and many caring friends.  Online condolences may be made at www.vancememorialchapel.net
