Colonel (Ret.) Kenneth Aguilar Gordon

Colonel (Ret.) Kenneth Aguilar Gordon, 79, of Midland, GA passed away February 5, 2016 at Midtown Medical Center.  Funeral Services will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST. The committal service will be held at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery with Mr. Gordon receiving full military honors.  The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. EST.  

Colonel Gordon was born October 8, 1936 in Bluefields, Jamaica to the parents of the late Sylvester Augustus and Beryl Palmer Gordon.  He retired from the United States Army as a Colonel after 25 years of service.  He also retired from St. Francis Hospital, where he was Director of Nursing as well as retiring from Columbus Technical College as Dean of the Nursing Program.  He also served as a past President of the Muscogee Rotary in Columbus as well as a member of the Masonic Lodge. 

Survivors include his loving wife, Namson Gordon; one daughter, Inja Gordon of Columbus, GA; one son, Insun Gordon of Columbus, GA; and one grandchild, Joriyen Luke Gordon.
