Conner James Dean

Conner James Dean, of Columbus, GA passed away April 27, 2014 at Midtown Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 30, 2014 beginning at 2:00 P.M. EST at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home; 4048 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. Reverend David Rathel and Reverend Mitchell Dean will be officiating.

Conner James Dean was born May 24, 2013 son of Darrell Dean and Diana Rathel Dean in Columbus, GA. Conner had a smile that could light up a room. Conner was a precious gift, and will be in our hearts forever.

Conner is preceded in death by great-grandfathers, Jerry Wayne Rathel Sr, and Ralph R. Bennett; great-grandmother, Margine Senn.

Survivors include Conner’s parents Darrell and Diana; sister, Erika Jamie Dean; maternal grandparents, Lavonda Cravens, and Freddie Dean; paternal grandparents, Wally Judah, Rebecca Tipton and Jerry Wayne Rathel II; great-grandparents, Bob and Becky Newman, Linda and Thomas Cravens, and Patsy Rathel; Aunts, Maria McMillan, Christian Iddings “The Favorite Aunt”, Jessica Rathel, and Victoria Rathel; Uncles, Christopher McMillan, Charles Iddings and Benjamin Rathel.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Egleston Children’s Hospital 1405 Clifton Rd Ne, Atlanta, GA 30322.
