Connie Eiland, age 78, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Parkwood Nursing Facility. Private funeral services are being held at Lakeview Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Eiland, daughter of the late Ormand Bernett Christian and Kathleen Bolton Christian, was born February 1, 1942 in Windham Springs, Alabama. After high school, Mrs. Eiland married and was a homemaker for several years. She then began working at AMPEX Tape Company in Opelika, Alabama and later worked for AHP Medical Supplies. Mrs. Eiland then started a career in the printing industry where she later became owner and operator of the family business, Jimbo’s Printing Company in Phenix City until she retired.
Mrs. Eiland was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Smith Station, Alabama. She loved the outdoors, but her biggest love was spending quality time with her family. Mrs. Eiland is remembered by her family as a loving, kind, and compassionate lady with a good heart; always wanting to help others.
She is survived by a daughter, Terri Bryant and her husband Greg of Phenix City, Alabama; son, Jimbo Eiland and Kim Blue, also of Phenix City; sister, Faye Parker of Dayton, Ohio; three granddaughters, Priscilla Bryant of Midland, Georgia, Ashlee Swartz and her husband James of Savannah, Georgia, and Blaire Edge and her husband Chase of Penton, Alabama; three great-grandchildren, Christian Swartz, Beau Edge, and Kennedi Edge; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1314, Smith Station, Alabama 36877.
