Connie Gray Riley Thomas, 62, of Ft. Mitchell, AL died Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.
A memorial service was held 11:00 am Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with her son, Carlos Thomas, officiating.
Connie was born January 19, 1958 in Orlando, FL daughter of Minnie Jewel Fuller and the late Mortimer Johnson. She retired from the Army and Air Force Exchange with over thirty years of service. Connie enjoyed many hobbies, including shopping, decorating, gardening, flowers and crafts. She also enjoyed traveling, which comes with the territory of being a military wife. Connie had an affiliation with two churches, both The Bridge Church and the Church of the Highlands. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Other than her biological father, she was preceded in death by her father, John L. Fuller.
Connie is survived by her loving husband of forty years, Carl Thomas of Ft. Mitchell, AL daughters, Danetra Quarterman of Ft. Mitchell, AL, Angel Thomas and Angela Thomas, both of Columbus, GA; a son, Carlos Thomas of Ft. Mill, SC; sisters, Charlene Tomlin of Orlando, FL and Janice Moye and husband Eldred of Newport News, VA; a brother, William Golden and wife Clarissa of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Jacara Thomas, Janiah Thomas, Judah Thomas and Zyah Thomas; several extended family and friends.
