Cortney Falon Jordan

Cortney Falon Orr Jordan, 34, of Phenix City, AL passed away early Tuesday morning, March 14, 2017 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL while surrounded by her loving family.

A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 pm EDT Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Dan Sheppard and Rev. Stephen Stroud officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at the funeral home.

Cortney was born July 26, 1982 in Columbus, GA to William “Billy” Lester Orr and Carol Diane Morris Sheppard.  She was a graduate of Smiths Station High School and had worked with Victory Vision in Columbus, GA. She loved her family, and was a devoted and loving mother to her children. She cherished life and its beauty; she enjoyed listening to music, the outdoors and all sorts of water activities including fishing, boating, swimming, and the beach.   Cortney was a Baptist by faith and a longtime member of Morningside Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Raymond Windell Orr and Mary Elizabeth Lowes Orr, and maternal grandfather, William E. Morris, Jr.

She is survived by two precious children, Adileigh K. Jordan, and Brayleigh F. Jordan, father, William “Billy” Lester Orr, mother, Carol Diane Morris Sheppard and husband John, maternal grandmother, Abbie Wynn Morris, two sisters, Whitney L. Patterson, husband Frank, and Chelsea F. Sheppard, uncles and aunts, Dennis Morris, Susan M. Parker and Husband Gerald Parker, Marlene Crooks, and Edward E. Orr and wife Robbie, niece Abby Grace Patterson, numerous cousins, other loving family members, and many caring friends.

Flowers are welcome or contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to your favorite charity in memory of Cortney.
