Cynthia Louise Wolf Walker, 68, of Smiths Station, AL, and formally of Lakeland, FL passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, June 9, 2018 in the comfort of her daughter’s home.
Ms. Walker was born June 21, 1949 in Princeton, IL to Dorothy Inks Wolf and the late Earl J. Wolf, Jr. Her dad was a WWII veteran and career Air Force pilot. Cindy grew up on military bases around the world which fueled her passion for traveling. She served as Financial Controller for Granite Construction Company, Inc. in the Tampa, FL area with 20 years of service. She also had worked previously with The Hardaway Construction in Columbus, GA before moving to Florida. She loved and enjoyed traveling all over, seeing and experiencing many beautiful places and cultures. She enjoyed all types of water sports, reading, and sharing special times with her grandchildren. She was a Presbyterian by faith.
She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Wolf, one daughter, Lauren Wilkes and husband Dennis, sister, Roberta “Byrd” Domeck and husband Rob, and two precious grandchildren, Connor Wilkes, and Noah Wilkes, several extended family members, and a host of friends.
The family is planning a private celebration of life memorial service in a nearer future date. In Lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to Columbus Hospice.
