Cynthia Brown Jones, 67, of Salem, AL died at Columbus Hospice House, Columbus, GA on Thursday, October 28, 2021 with her family by her side.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM (EST) on Monday, November 01, 2021 in Lakeview Memory Gardens with Pastor Donnie Clark officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM till 1:30 PM at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL on Monday.
Mrs. Jones was born October 15, 1954 daughter of the late Myron Brown (Martha) and Myrtle Smith Holland. She enjoyed gardening, maintaining a beautiful garden for years. Mrs. Jones was well known for her canning and baking skills, selling items as, “Maw Maw’s Jam, Jelly and Pickles”. Two of her favorite past times were to care for her macaw’s and going to the casino’s. We will remember her dedication to our family and her willingness to work multiple types of jobs in order to make ends meet. She will always be in our hearts with fond memories.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Danny Jones.
Survivors include her son, Mike Thomas (Laura), Phenix City, AL and daughter, Crystal Coulter (Sam), Phenix City, AL; step-son, Daniel Jones (Christy) and step-daughter, Heather Simpson; brother, Gary Brown (Dawn), brother, Tony Almond (Sandy) and sister, Deborah Austin (Mark); eleven grandchildren, Parker, Sebastian, Gage, Sammi, Clay, Courtney, Ben, Isaac, Corbin, Austin and Emily; one great-grandchild, Jack; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive guests at the home of Mike and Laura Thomas after the graveside service.
