Daniel Ernest Mann, 71, of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon EDT/11:00 am CDT Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Summerville United Methodist Church with Rev. Brady Baird officiating. Interment will follow at 12:00 noon EDT/11:00 am CDT on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Greenwood Serenity Cemetery in Montgomery, AL. The family will receive friends on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Mann was born December 7, 1945 in Tallassee, AL to the late Morris B. Mann and Margaret Hammock Mann. He served as a Construction Supervisor and was retired from AT&T with 34 years of service. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, and a member of Summerville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed singing in the church choir, watching Alabama sports, traveling, and "fixing" things.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Lillian Ann Bunn Mann, children, Brian Daniel Mann and wife Chessie, Benjamin Matthew Mann and wife Carmen, and Bonnie Michelle Mann, one sister, Emily Cloutier and husband Charles, and one brother, Steve Mann, one grandson, Parker Mann, step-grandchildren, Kathryn Lee, Meagan Lee, and Sarah Ruth Peavy, several nieces, numerous friends, and his loyal canine companion Allie.
