Darlos Mae King

Darlos Mae King, 88, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015, at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, GA.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm EST, on Monday, December 7, 2015, at Lakeview Memory Gardens, with Reverend Lyn McManus officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Vance Memorial Chapel.

Ms. King was born on November 13, 1927, in Covington, County, AL, the daughter of the late Preston Lansdon and Essie Davis Woods. She worked is a cafeteria manager for Sherwood Elementary and was a member of North Phenix Baptist Church.

Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie W. King, siblings, Sherrell Bennett and Ray Lansdon and grandson, Wade King.

She is survived by 2 sons, Rud King and Norman King; sister, Jean Daniel; grandchildren, Wyatt King, Adam King, Adam Knotts and Ivana King; 4 great grandchildren; extended family members and many caring friends.
