Darothy Nell Retherford

Darothy Nell Watford Retherford, 86, of Columbus, GA passed away Saturday, October 08, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. 

A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm est Monday, October 10, 2016 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road Columbus, GA.  The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 am est until 1:00 pm est prior to the service, at the funeral home.  

Mrs. Retherford was born December 28, 1929 in Houston County, AL daughter of the late Elton Watford and Mamie Jones Watford.  She was a homemaker and a long time member of Northside Chapel in Columbus, GA.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dillard Retherford; two brothers, Dr. Ray Watford and Billy Joe Watford.

Survivors include  her sister, Jane Yancey of Columbus, GA; nieces and nephews, Tony Watford, Kathy Robbins, Danny Beasley, Ricky Watford, Donna Davis and Billy Ray Watford.
