Darrie “Dee” Stephens, age 60, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021. Graveside services are scheduled at Lakeview Memory Gardens on Thursday, February 11, 2021, 11 a.m. with Reverend Ralph Henderson officiating, according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, Alabama.
Mrs. Stephens, daughter of Raymond Jones and Sheila Gail Nolin Jones, was born January 28, 1961 in Phenix City. She was a teacher in public schools for several years until she became disabled. Mrs. Stephens was a member of First Evangelistic Church, Phenix City. She loved being a grandmother; enjoyed arts and crafts; and looked forward to relaxing outside watching squirrels, woodpeckers, and birds. Mrs. Stephens also enjoyed watching some television shows and movies, particularly the Hallmark Channel.
The family remembers her as a great wife and mother.
Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Stephens. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jimmy Stephens of Phenix City; two sons, Matt Stephens and his wife Amanda of Smiths Station, Alabama and Dylan Stephens of Phenix City; her parents, Raymond and Sheila Jones of Fort Mitchell, Alabama; sister, Sharon Baker and her husband Chad of Fort Mitchell; grandson, Jeremiah Stephens; daughter in law, Jennifer Stephens; many nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
