Dartha Edith Hill Fair, 92, of Phenix City, AL passed away Wednesday November 25, 2015 with her family by her side.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm EDT Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Vance Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bill Mayhew and Rev. Jack Wallace officiating. A private interment will follow on Monday at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fair was born June 22, 1923 in Calhoun, GA and was the daughter of the late Edgar Hill and Ludie Quinn Hill. She was retired after 18 years with State Paper Box Company and 13 years with Columbus Carpet Mill in Columbus, GA. She was a member of Holland Creek Baptist Church. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Fair; two sons Jerald and Eddie Fair; and sister Gladys.
She is survived by a daughter, Sherry Fair Wallace and husband Rev. Jack Wallace of Phenix City, AL; 10 grandchildren, Ricky, Madonna, Missy, Greg, Jeff, Jamie, Lisa, Deborah, Kim and Keith; 16 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law Sharon Fair of Smiths, AL; many other extended family and caring friends.
