Darthy “Dot” Lee, age 82, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away at her son’s residence on Saturday, October 24, 2020. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, Alabama on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, 11 a.m. with Reverend Ricky Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 26, 2020 from 5-7 p.m.
Mrs. Lee, daughter of the late Milton Berry Jordan and Missouri Orie Arrington Jordan, was born October 7, 1938 in Josie, Alabama. She was a homemaker and Baptist by faith. Mrs. Lee enjoyed gardening vegetables and flowers and taking trips to the beach. She also enjoyed reading, particularly biographies, working crossword puzzles, and watching Hallmark movies to include old classic television shows. Mrs. Lee always looked forward to cooking for her family on Thanksgiving and other special occasions. Her greatest enjoyment was spending quality time with her family, especially the grandsons. The family remembers her as a lady who loved her family immensely.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband, James Morris Lee. She is survived by one son, Jeff Lee and his wife Melony of Smiths Station, Alabama; two grandsons, Jed Lee and his wife Meredith of Salem, Alabama and Cody Lee, also of Salem, Alabama; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
