David Bishop

David Bishop, 67, passed away October 2, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2015 beginning at 1:00 P.M. EST. at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. 31907. Interment will conclude at Parkhill Cemetery. Reverend Udell Addison will be officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, October 12, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. EST at the funeral home.

David Bishop was born November 16, 1947 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Walter Raymond Bishop and Dorothy Albertson Smith. David loved the outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing, or just sitting by the lake. He was a member of the Hooligans Jet Ski Club of Lake Harding.

Other than his parents David is preceded in death by his loving wife of 20 years Kathy Faye Bishop; and step father Clyde Smith; grandson, Kyle Reynolds.

Leaving behind to cherish his memory, four daughters, Mandy Irvin and husband Sam of Smiths, AL, Lori Larkin, of Columbus, GA, Daphne Temples, of Smiths, AL,  and Donna Bishop, of Auburn, WA; son, Rodney Reynolds, of Smiths, AL; grandchildren, Katie, Josh, Mikayla, Brooke, Angela, Cassie, Bubba, Hannah, Libby, and Sam; one great grandchild, Emahlin.

David will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and caring friend.
