David E. Vigen

David E. Vigen, 56, of Salem, AL passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at his home.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City, AL.  The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mr. Vigen was born March 7, 1962 son of Susan Scarbourough Vigen and the late Richard Lyle.  He worked various jobs in the construction industry, including welding, forklift mechanic and overhead crane mechanic.  Mr. Vigen loved all types of mechanic work, refinishing furniture, football and animals, especially his dog. 

Other than his father, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Wesley McArthur.

Mr. Vigen is survived by his loving wife, Ramona Harris Vigen of Salem, AL; step-children, David McArthur and wife Meghan of Opelika, AL, Derrick McArthur and wife Adriannie of Phenix City, AL and Stephanie Howard of Phenix City, AL; one sister, Vanessa Vigen of Newnan, GA; one brother, Michael Vigen of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Sawyer McArthur, Zander McArthur, Lana McArthur and Caden Howard; several extended family members and friends.
