Willie David Gibson

Mr. Willie David Gibson, 81, of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday June 9, 2024, at his home. 

A funeral service will be held 10:00 am EDT Friday, June 14, 2024, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Ricky Ward officiating. A private interment will follow. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm EDT at the funeral home.

Mr. Gibson was born March 25, 1943 in Pike County, AL, son of the late Alfred D. Gibson and Willie Ruth Norris Gibson.  He retired from Columbus Tractor & Machinery with over 32 years of service.  Mr. Gibson enjoyed fishing but spent most of his time working.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Gibson.

Mr. Gibson is survived by his wife of 56 years, Etta Brasher Gibson of Phenix City, AL; two sons, Randy Gibson and wife Cindy of Ft. Mitchell and David Gibson of Phenix City, AL; sisters, Patsy Pryor and husband Steve of Phenix City, AL, Vickie Gibson of Phenix City, AL, Annette Miller of San Diego, CA and Sarah Martinez and husband Henry of El Paso, TX; a brother, Jimmy Gibson of Seale, AL; two grandchildren, John Gibson (Jordan) and Todd Gibson (Sarah); five great-grandchildren, several other extended family and friends.
