David Joel Whitehead

David Joel Whitehead, 59, of Columbus, GA passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.

David was born May 18, 1958 in Franklin, GA to Mary Juan Webb Whitehead and the late Haward L. Whitehead.  He was employed as a team leader with Lennox International in Columbus, GA.  He had a passion for the local flea markets and yard sales, he was a huge Auburn fan, and enjoyed following NASCAR.  David was a Pentecostal by faith.  Other than his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Whitehead.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Juan Webb Whitehead, his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Pamela Renee Easom Whitehead, children, Jason Whitehead and Kristina Lisle Stoddard, Shane Whitehead and wife Jennifer, Jessica Whitehead, Rachel Benefield and husband Michael, and Chase Whitehead and Raven Green, one sister, Sandra Whitehead Hedden and husband David; mother-in-law, Jo Mann Easom, and brother-in-law, Michael Easom, (10) grandchildren, Garrett Lisle, Chevy Whitehead, Harley Lisle, Kaden Whitehead-West, English Werner, Madison Werner, Zoey Whitehead, Sydnee Davis, Brianna Whitehead, and Dante Whitehead, several nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held 4:00 pm EDT on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Pastor Tim Cole officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service on Thursday.
