David R. Parker, 73, of Salem, AL died at Bethany House Hospice in Auburn, AL on Saturday, July 31, 2021 with his family by his side.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM (EST) on Wednesday, August 04, 2021 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Jammie Holloway officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 till 7:00 PM (EST) on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Parker was born January 13, 1948 in Columbus, GA son of the late Tommy John Parker and Edna Louise McArdle Parker. He was a U. S. Navy veteran serving proudly. Mr. Parker had retired from Uniroyal after 31 years of service starting on the assembly line and retiring from the warehouse. David loved to be outdoors fishing, building and repairing virtually anything. He was always helping his family and anyone else who needed help. His family was his life, especially the grandchildren. We will always miss him in our daily routine, but his memories will always bring us comfort.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Frances Cox Parker, Salem, AL; two children, Angel Hill (Jason) and Jeremiah Parker (Renee) all of Salem, AL; six siblings, Wayne Parker, Gerald Parker (Susan), Tommy Parker (Jannie), Clay Parker (Deborah), Pixie Romine (Randy) and Teena Zebreski (K.P.); four precious grandchildren, Jacob, Jackson, Allison “Sweet Pea” and Jeremiah “Toot”; several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
