Deborah “Debbie” Catherine Clark, 70, of Lanett, AL passed away Sunday evening, May 5, 2024, at Piedmont Midtown Hospital in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm EDT Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Mr. Dave Olson officiating. The family will receive friends briefly after the service on Thursday afternoon at the funeral home in Phenix City.
Ms. Clark was born July 16, 1953, in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Ferrell C. Peed and Dorothy Johnson Peed. She retired from the United States Postal Service working for many years of loyal and faithful service. She loved watching news programs, listening to political podcasts, and was a huge Trump supporter. In her past, she enjoyed the opportunity of many travel adventures, she enjoyed cruising, going to the beach, gardening, and she loved to cook. She served as a chef for the Atlanta Falcons headquarters organization and was a personal chef to Mr. A.L. Williams of Primerica Insurance Corporation. She served as Venue Coordinator for the 1996 Para Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA. She was a Christian by faith and deeply loved the Lord, having served Him in various capacities throughout her life.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Wes McDuffie and wife Kristin of Loganville, GA and Mona King and husband Aubrey of Pensacola, FL; two sisters, Pam Sweat of Fortson, GA and Pat Olson and husband Dave of Sierra Vista, Arizona; one brother, Randy Peed and wife Angel of Phenix City, AL; five grandchildren; six nieces and nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
