Delbert Ross Corbin, Sr.

Delbert Ross Corbin, Sr., 80, of Seale, AL passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Emory Evans and Rev. LaWanda Worthington officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at the funeral home.

Mr. Corbin was born in Chipley, FL on July 12, 1937, son of the late Ernest Owen “Bud” Corbin and Mary Lou Sasser Corbin.  He worked as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry most of his career.  Mr. Corbin was a member of Faith Temple Assembly of God.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Elbert Allen Corbin; two sisters, Joyce Barfield and Carolyn Smith.

Mr. Corbin is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Pastor Mary Frances Barfield Corbin; sons, Ross Corbin and wife Lisa of Seale, AL, Jerry Corbin of Phenix City, AL, Gerald Corbin and wife Diane of Phenix City, AL and Darrell Corbin and wife Tracy of Macon, GA;  a sister, Syvalene Barfield and husband Joe; grandchildren, Angel (Kevin), Allen, William (Samantha), Misty (Christopher), Dusty (Deidre), Amanda, Amber (Adan), Chris (Amber), Brittany (Carlos), Skyler, Tyler, Ryan, Andrew, Emily and Brooke; great-grandchildren, Lee, Corbin, Wesley, Kaylee, Laura, Connor, Owen, Karsyn, Landon, Danika, Dalton, Timothy, Cierra, Sarah, Steven, Austin, Aiden, Arial, Jaylen, and Kaden; several other extended family members.
