Denise Moody Bryant

Mrs. Denise Moody Bryant, 61, of Phenix City, AL passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm EST Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Summerville Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Robb Goodman officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the church.

Mrs. Bryant was born June 11, 1963 in Daytona Beach, FL, daughter of the late George Nelson Moody and Marcia Ruth Gaines Moody. She retired from the Muscogee County School System after 31 years of service. Most recently, she had returned to teaching part time until her health issues began. Mrs. Bryant was a member of the Georgia Teachers Association and a member of Summerville Baptist Church for over 28 years. Her passions were spending time at the beach and in the mountains. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Bryant is survived by her husband of 32 years, Tim Bryant; a daughter, Abbie Wyrosdick and husband Corey; a sister, Kathy Ann Sikes and husband Brian; grandchildren, Ruth, Nellie, Georgia and Whitt; as well as several extended family and friends.
