Dennis Alan Morris

Dennis Alan Morris, 59, of Phenix City, AL passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 in the comfort of his home in Phenix City.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 4:30 pm EDT Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Rev. Stephen Stroud officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon prior to the service from 2:00 to 4:00 pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.

Dennis was born March 23, 1958 in Phenix City, AL to Abbie Wynn Morris and the late William E. Morris, Jr.  He was employed with Shaw Industries at Fort Benning.  He enjoyed spending time at the cabin on Lake Harding, fellowshipping with family, and friends, and Crimson Tide football.  Other than his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Greg Morris, and very special niece, Cortney Falon Orr Jordan.

He is survived by his mother, Abbie Wynn Morris, two sisters, Susan M. Parker and Husband Gerald Parker, Carol M. Sheppard and Husband John Sheppard, very special nieces, Shea Parker Stroud and Husband Stephen Stroud, Brooke Rene Parker, Whitney L. Patterson and husband Frank, and Chelsea F. Sheppard; great nephews Parker and Peyton Stroud, Brock Chandler, great nieces, Adileigh K. Jordan, Brayleigh F. Jordan, Stella Paige Stroud and Abby Grace Patterson, numerous cousins, other loving family members, and many caring friends.
