Dennis LaDon Dismukes, 56, of Hoover, AL, and formally of Phenix City, AL passed away early Wednesday morning, June 5, 2019 at Grandview Hospital in Birmingham, AL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EST on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Rev. Tommy fountain officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home.
Dennis was born January 29, 1963 in Columbus, GA to Sybil L. Bell Dismukes and the late Don Vester Dismukes. He had worked as a Communication Consultant in the Radio and TV entertainment industry. He was a graduate of Glenwood High School and the University of Alabama. He was a member of the Alabaster Lyons Club and a member of the University of Alabama Alumni. He was huge Crimson Tide supporter, loved listening to classic country, Gospel music, and enjoyed reading Lewis Gizzard books. He loved fellowship and spending time with his family. He enjoyed good food, his Little Debbie snacks, and visiting fine restaurants with friends and family. He was a member of Golden Acres Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Sybil L. Dismukes, his loving and devoted wife of 27 years, Kimberly “Kim” Dawn Dismukes, his children, son, Dalton Dismukes and wife Katelyn, and daughter, Jillian Dismukes, one sister, Sabrina Shey and husband David, brother, Darryl Dismukes and wife Amy, one precious granddaughter, Tinley Rae Dismukes and another precious angel on the way by the name of Amelia, several nieces, nephews, extended family, and numerous friends.
