Derek Alan Reeves

Derek Alan Reeves, 45, Columbus, GA. passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at his residence. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, November 9, 2014 beginning at 1:00 P.M. EST. at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. 31907. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery at 3:00 EST. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 until 1:00 prior to the service on Sunday. Derek was born December 29, 1968 in Columbus, GA son of the late Travis Paxton Reeves and Shirley Nicholson Reeves. Derek was a driver for Benny Whitehead Incorporated. In his spare time he enjoyed deep sea fishing, hunting and gun collecting and spending time with his family and dogs at the river. Survivors include his loving wife Holley Fuller Reeves, of Columbus, GA; children, Travis Alan Reeves, Alana Bret Reeves, and Cameron Alan Reeves; siblings, Jan Cobb and husband James, Randy Luker, Travisa Miller and husband Lem; one granddaughter Bayli Smith; Derek is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and other extended family and caring friends.
