Diana W. Keene

Diana Watson Keene, 77, of Phenix City, AL passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm EST Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Hank Reeves officiating. A private interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home. Ms. Keene was born May 21, 1939 in Phenix City, AL to the late Gerald Watson and Martha Nell Clark Watson. She was retired from Synovus in Columbus, GA and was a member of Concord Baptist Church. She loved fishing, gardening, and building all sorts of projects. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sue Ellen Kelly. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Ann Michaud and husband Dennis of Cranston, RI, and Charlene K. Minor and husband Danny of Phenix City, AL, three brothers, her twin brother, James Donald Watson of Marietta, GA, Gerald J. Watson, Jr. and wife Carol of Winston-Salem, NC, and Wayne W. Watson and wife Penney of Denver, CO; (5) grandchildren, Andrea Van Akin (Jacob), Summer Goodroe (Derek), Russell Jennings, III (Katherine), David Craft, and Kacie Antrobus (Dustin), (8) great grandchildren, Joshua and Kyle Van Akin, Tatum and Ty Goodroe, Marina and Russell Jennings IV, and Hunter and Fysher Antrobus, several nieces and nephews, extended family and many caring friends.
