Dolores Rosalie King

Dolores Rosalie King, 82, of Columbus, GA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Columbus Hospice while surrounded by her family.  A funeral service will be held at Glenn Anthony Baptist Church, 1109 39th Street, Columbus GA on Monday, November 14, 2016 beginning at 2:00 P.M. EST with Reverend Hank Reeves officiating.  The interment will conclude the service at Parkhill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 P.M. EST.  

Mrs. King was born July 2, 1934 in Republic, WA to the late Leonard George Houchin and Merle Franham Houchin.  She was a member of Glenn Anthony Baptist Church.  She was a homemaker.

Other than her parents, Mrs. King is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Sgt. Arthur (Buster) King and a daughter, Sandra Collier.

Mrs. King is survived by three daughters:  Dorsie Sappington of Columbus, GA, Jolene (Mike) Burgess of Hamilton, GA and Terri Monte of Columbus, GA; a brother, Wilbur Houchin; five grandchildren:  Angel (Shannon) Resendez, Tiffany Burgess (Donny), Brittney (Tim) French, AJ (Danielle) Tindall and Brian (Jennifer) Province; great-grandchildren:  Chance (Alexis), Kayla, Ciera, Kamden, Parker, Adam and several other great-grandchildren.
