Donald L. Youngren

Donald L. Youngren, 68, of Smith Station, AL, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. EST Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Dean Knipe officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow at Crawford Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. EST at the funeral home.

Mr. Youngren was born January 19, 1948 in St. Paul, MN son of Betty Jane Johnson Youngren and the late Donald Willard Youngren. He faithfully served in the United States Army and then continued as a civil service employee for many years. Don attended Crawford Baptist Church and was a member of the VFW.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sandy Youngren; mother, Betty Youngren; 4 sons, Roy and Jade Youngren, Mike and Tereasa Youngren, Chad and Donna Youngren, and Troy and Barbara Youngren; siblings, Carol Hanula, Vickie and Brad Rolf, Lynette Youngren and husband Matt Longenbone, Jeffrey and Wanda Youngren, Carl and Mary Youngren and John and Katie Youngren; grandchildren, Brianna, Ashley, Alyssa, Rebecca, Josh, Joey, Jake and Chad; great-grandchildren, Jerry, Brody, Liam and Carlson; many nieces, nephews and many other caring friends.
