Donald "Rufus" Newman

Donald "Rufus" Newman, 88 of Phenix CIty, AL passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.

A private graveside service will be held at 10:30 am EST, on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Lakeview Memory Gardens. Vandy Russell will officiate.

Mr Newman was born in April 16, 1930 in Troy, AL to the late John and Belle Newman. He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Newman and two sons, Steve Newman and Wayne Newman.

He is survived by his daughter Peggy Thorne; sister, Betty McEntire; grandchildren Patty Newman, Misty Grims and husband JR, Cassey Porter and husband Zach, Tracy Newman and Eric Newman; numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other extended family.
