Donna Ann Newsome

Donna Ann Folds Newsome, 54, of Phenix City, AL passed away Monday afternoon, January 4, 2016 in the comfort of her home.

Graveside services will be held 4:00 pm EST Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Newsome Cemetery in Phenix City with Ronald Newsome officiating.  The family will receive friends this evening (Wednesday) from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.

Donna was born August 3, 1961 in Columbus, GA to Martha Ann May Folds and the late James Thomas Folds.  She was a loving wife, mother, and daughter to her family.  She enjoyed family time, loved visiting the beach and the mountains, she loved her pet dogs and cats, and the many friendships she shared, she will always be loved and greatly missed.

She is survived by her mother, Martha Ann Folds, her loving and devoted husband of 16 years, Williams McCollum Newsome, her children, Courtney “Layel” Grant and Casey Benjamin Grant, all of Phenix City, AL; one sister, Lisa Brewer, brother, James Edward Folds and wife Patsy, all of Phenix City, AL, father and mother-in-law, Calvin and Blue Newsome, a very special nephew, Mason Brewer, numerous other loving family members and many caring friends.  Online condolences may be made at www.vancememorialchapel.net
