Donna Marie Krafcheck

Donna Marie Krafcheck, 61, of Columbus, GA passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown. Funeral services will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 beginning at 3:00 PM. The interment will conclude at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service.

Donna was born on November 27, 1961 in New York, NY to Thomas and Shirley Moran. Throughout her life, she made it her goal to help others. As a Girl Scout during her childhood years and an ambassador for the Kidney Foundation in her adult years, Donna made a tremendous impact on the lives of everyone she met. Her love and care were especially evident when she took multiple generations of family members into her home to raise. In her spare time, Donna enjoyed playing cards and board games with her family, scrapbooking, music, and phone games. She was a devout Catholic and a child of Saint Jude.

Other than her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her son, Aunt Jean Phettaplace, Aunt Gail and Uncle Woody “Wooby” Wilson.

She is survived by her cousin, best friend and caretaker of 15 years, Donnie Watford; daughters Hillary Moran and Brittany Cavender; brother John “Jackie” Moran (Jen); niece Melissa Blowers (Chris); nephews Tim and Mike Moran; great-nieces, Robin and Sara Blowers, Brianna and Christina Moran; and great-nephew Aaron Moran.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation and/or any breast cancer organization.
