Donnie K. Stroud

Donnie K. Stroud, 74, of Smiths Station, AL passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel with Minister Kenneth Jarrett officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 pm EST, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. 

Mr. Stroud was born October 6, 1943 in Prattville, AL son of the late Jerry K. Stroud and Nellie Golson Stroud.  He worked with Northfolk Souther Railway for many years and was member of Torch Hill Church of Christ.  Mr. Stroud loved the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and boating, as well as, gardening and riding his tractor.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Ann Davis Stroud and a brother, Kenneth Stroud.

Mr. Stroud is survived by two sisters and two brothers; extended family and caring friends.
