Doris Shiver Barentine

Doris Shiver Barentine, 89, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.

Funeral service for Doris Shiver Barentine will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Chapel of the Pines in Parkhill Cemetery. Pastor Randy Comer will officiate. Mrs. Barentine will be available for viewing all day Friday and a visitation is scheduled for Friday night from 6 until 8 at Vance Memorial Chapel.

Doris was born on April 21, 1927, in Barbour County, AL, the daughter of Lynn Shiver and Emma Faulk Shiver. She was a member of Trinity Temple Assembly of God.

Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Barentine and three sisters, Marie McKeller, Azzie Lee Campbell and Velma Johnson.

She is survived by her son Tim Helms and his wife Patsy; grandchildren John Paul Harrison and wife Shelli and David Gene Harrison; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
