Dorothy Evelyn Bush

Dorothy Evelyn Bush, 90, of Smiths Station, AL died at Gardens of Calvary in Columbus, GA on Thursday, December 22, 2022.

Private Services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Bush was born February 17, 1932 in Henry County, AL daughter of the late Robert Williams and Annie C. Bridges Williams. She was a homemaker who loved fishing with her husband, sewing, and growing flowers. Mrs. Bush was also a member of Auburn Heights Baptist Church for a number of years. Her light still burns bright in our hearts even though she will no longer walk with us daily. She will always be remembered and loved.

Mrs. Bush was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Annie Williams, her husband of 69 years, Zack Bush, her son, James Michael “Mike” Bush, two brothers, Wayne and Bobby Williams and two sisters, Martha Ann Williams and Sharon Kilgore.

Survivors include her daughter, Diane Smith (Gary), Empire, AL; one sister, Glenda Forrest; daughter-in-law, Joann Bush; three grandchildren, Lisa Abston (Chris), Kimberly “Kim” Smith and Timothy Bush; four great-grandchildren, Ryan Abston, Alex Abston (Caitlin), Blake Abston (Angel) and Emma Abston; seven great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
