Dorothy "Loraine" Faust

Dorothy “Loraine” Faust, 90, of Phenix City, AL passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in the comfort of her home.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 3:00 pm EST at Shield of Faith Church in Phenix City with Rev. Jimmy McClain officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service at the church; a private interment will follow at a future date.

Mrs. Faust was born January 10, 1927 in Lakeland, FL to the late Edgar Wallace Smith and Myrtle Dunn Smith.  She was retired and had worked as an administrator for several different companies.  She was a lady of great character whom graciously loved her family and her many friends.  She was a Methodist by faith, and had been visiting Philadelphia Baptist Church along with several other churches in the local area.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Faust, a daughter, Debra Howell, two brothers, Wallace Smith and Freddie Smith and a grandson, Levi Hall.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Jarecki of Phenix City, AL, son Jeff Hall of Gaston, AL, brother, Wade H. Smith and wife Shirley of the Villages, FL; four grandchildren, Dane Howell (Barbara), Chris Reed (Tracey), Scottie Howell, and Janie Howell, (8) great grandchildren, numerous other loving family members, and many caring friends.  Online condolences may be shared at www.vancememorialchapel.net
