Dorthan L. Kilcrease

Dorthan L. Johnson Kilcrease, 82, of Phenix City, AL, passed away Monday afternoon, October 16, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EDT, on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Smiths Station Baptist Church, with Dr. David Kees officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.

Mrs. Kilcrease was born February 14, 1935 in Bonifay, FL, the daughter of William Arvis Johnson and Ruby Barbee Johnson. She retired after 20 years from Fieldcrest Mills and was a member of Smiths Station Baptist Church where she served in the WMU. She enjoyed reading, cooking, spending quality time with her grandchildren and studying her bible daily.

Other than her parents she is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rebecca L. Partain, two sisters, Lassie Mae Toole, and Martha Ezell Parker, and a brother, Jasper Orvia Dell Johnson.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Bobby L. Kilcrease of Phenix City, AL; three children, Barbara A. Weatherford, husband Bill of LaGrange, GA, Janet D. Partain, husband Ed of Midland, GA and Phillip W. Kilcrease, wife Beth of Powell, TN; brother, K.D. Johnson, wife Peggy of Phenix City, AL; (8) grandchildren, Joshua Weatherford (Jennifer), Daniel Weatherford, Matthew Partain, Lisa Slavens (Shaun), Catherine Partain, Spencer Kilcrease, Sarabeth Prindiville (Vance), and Savannah Kilcrease; (4) great grandchildren, Carter, Caleb and Caity Weatherford and Connor Slavens; (14) nieces and nephews; extended family members and many caring friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Smiths Station Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Smiths Station Baptist Church.
