Earl Finn Whitehead

Earl Finn Whitehead, 57, of Phenix City, AL passed away Saturday, August 29, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital, in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Auburn Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Wayne Scarborough officiating, according to Vance Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Belcher Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Baker Hill, AL. The family will receive friends Tuesday, one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the church.

Finn was born January 25, 1958, son of  Gloria Gillenwater Whitehead and Ellis Whitehead. He worked as an electrician in the construction industry for many years and was a member of Auburn Heights Baptist Church.  Additionally, he loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing with his grandmother.

Other than his parents, he is survived by his long time companion, Linda Gray; a son, Eric Finn Whitehead and wife Meredith of Grafenwoerhr, Germany; two sisters, Cindy Green and husband Roy of Opelika, AL and Phyllis Wilson and husband Jim of Albany, GA; one grandchild, Abigail Reese Whitehead; many extended family members and caring friends.
