Earl Michael Williams, Jr.

Earl Michael Williams, Jr., 85, of Smiths Station, AL passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2016 in the comfort of his home.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held 4:00 pm EST Monday, November 28, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.  A private interment will be held at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.

Mr. Williams was born December 8, 1930 in Pensacola, FL to the late Earl Martin Williams and Lillian Hall Williams.  He was retired from Mead Coated Board with over 40 years of service.  He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners in Escambia County, FL.  He had a passion for knife collecting, was a member of Columbus-Ft. Benning R/C Flyers, Inc., and Mr. Williams was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan.  Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jackie Ruth Williams and a twin brother, Jerry Williams.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Mary Ann Mitchell Williams, children, Debra Sue McCormies and husband Larry, Robert Michael Williams, Jackie Williams Anderson, James Earl Williams and wife Debbie, Leon Vesta Williams and wife Cindy, Julie Earline Williams, and Laura LaDelle Fleming; (16) grandchildren, Amanda Ward, Casey Scudder, Robert Michael Williams, Jr., Ross Martin Williams, Luke Young, Charles Young, Anna Porterfield, Dalton Williams, Morgan Williams, Conner Williams, Mallory Fairbairn, Carlie Williams, Haleigh Drake, Hannah Baughman, Merissa Teasley, and Christopher Fleming, and all their spouses, numerous great grandchildren, extended family and many caring friends.
