Edna Carden Flournoy

Ruby Edna Flournoy, 89, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at her home.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm EST, on Monday, October 24, 2016, at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4:00 until 6:00 pm EST, at Vance Memorial Chapel.

Ms. Flournoy was born on October 28, 1926, in Seale, AL, the daughter of the late Alex Carden and Gertrude Jackson Carden. She worked in sales at Kirven’s and was a member at Golden Acres Baptist Church.

Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Russell Lee Flournoy.

She is survived by a daughter, Mildred Bass Smith of Phenix City, AL; a sister, Myrtice Carden Etheridge of Eufaula, AL; other close family members, Michelle, husband Tim, Maria, husband Mike, Jenna, Paul, wife, Nikki, Cher, husband Brady, Drew, April, husband John, Kortney, husband Zack, Justin, Rylee, Seth, Gage, Canaan, Kylee, JR, Axel, Diesel, Kennedie, Abby, Miles, Presley and Carson; extended family members and many caring friends.
